♣ 教师简介
Dr. Wang earned his B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Southwest Jiaotong University, Beijing Jiaotong University, and the University of Texas at Austin, respectively. All are in Civil Engineering. He has been working over 20 years in civil engineering in industrial practice and academia, both in China and the US. He is a professional engineer in Texas, USA, a member of ASCE, Geo-I of ASCE, and China Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering (CSRMRE).
Dr. Wang serves as reviewers for many highly respectable journals and committee members for many international conferences. He is not only active in research but also has a substantial capability to apply innovative techniques to resolve engineering practical problems. One of his recent research led to a reduction of approximately 3% to 5% of the construction cost for onshore wind turbine foundations. He created three new foundation types (patented in China) for onshore wind turbines and the patents in the US are pending.

♣ 研究领域
Dr. Wang’s current research interests include transportation geotechnics and energy geotechnics (交通岩土和能源岩土). His interest in transportation geotechnics mainly focuses on the shield tunneling technique (盾构隧道技术) and braced deep excavation (深开挖技术). As for energy geotechnics, he recently shifts his interests from renewable energy practice. to academia focusing on onshore and offshore foundations supporting wind turbine generators (陆地和海洋近岸风机基础) and marine geotechnics (海洋岩土). His research aims to build resilient infrastructures of transportation and renewable energy, which are critical to keep a substantial development and prosperous society.
